Frannie + George are "nylon monsters." I created them by stuffing colored tissue paper into nylon stockings and tying multiple appendages together in the center. After doing many material and color tests, I decided that purple and pink were the colors that I wanted to use for them. I added fake eyelashes and fake nails to the tips of the appendages and sprayed each of them with a heavy dose of cheap perfume.
The piece was shown in the gallery show "Altered: Out of Shape" in Alfred's Llewellyn Gallery in 2019.
